Module Two

Source and Stock Smart

Now that you know what kind of scoop business you’re building, it’s time to decide what actually goes into it. This module will help you source intentionally, choose your starting inventory, and avoid spending money on products that do not make sense for your business.

What You’ll Work Through

This is where you’ll turn your idea into actual inventory. Instead of buying whatever looks cute and hoping it works, you’ll learn how to build a starting product mix that fits your niche, your budget, and the price you eventually want to charge.

1. Know What You Actually Need

Start with the basics: your scoop or dish, packaging supplies, shipping materials, storage, and the products that will go into your scoops. You do not need every possible supply on day one. The goal is to build a simple setup that lets you launch without overspending.

2. Source Products Strategically

Sourcing is not just about finding the cheapest product. You also want to think about quality, shipping time, product size, how the item fits your niche, and whether it still leaves room for profit.

Inside this module, you’ll also get access to my sourcing spreadsheet with hundreds of linked products you can browse for your own scoops, so you do not have to start from a completely blank page.

3. Build a Balanced Starting Inventory

Your first inventory does not need to be huge. Think about variety instead of volume. A smaller mix of intentional products can give your scoops personality without tying up too much money in items that may sit unused.

4. Set an Inventory Budget

Decide what you are comfortable investing before you shop. Having a budget helps keep excitement from turning into overspending and gives you a clearer picture of how many sales you may need to recover your starting costs.

5. Track What You Buy

Keep a simple record of what you purchased, how much you paid, how many units you received, and where you sourced it. This will make pricing easier in the next module and help you identify which products are worth reordering.

Remember: You are not trying to build the biggest inventory possible. You are trying to build the smartest starting inventory you can with the budget you have.
